The Samarpan Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for people struggling with substance use disorders and addiction
is one of the many non-residential services that Samarpan offers in Mumbai.
An Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured treatment plan offering flexible schedules for individuals seeking
comprehensive support for substance abuse, mental health disorders, or dual diagnosis. It combines therapy, counseling,
and educational sessions while allowing participants to maintain their daily routines and personal responsibilities,
promoting balance and recovery.
Like many communities across the globe, Mumbai is not alone in the impact that addiction to alcohol, drugs, prescription
medications and other process addictions has on it. We have recognized that whilst residential rehab such as our
internationally recognized centre in Mulshi, Pune is an excellent option for a significant amount of people, not all people
meet the criteria for admission to a residential service based on The ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) mapped out,
or are able to make the commitment to spend a period of time away from their family or home.
Through our assessments on levels of care, we are able to signpost clients into the service that is most likely to meet their
current level of need. The Samarpan Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is India's first and only international
standard outpatient program available and has been designed by Samarpan's experienced addiction professionals who have run
both residential and outpatient services in Thailand, UK, The Middle East, and The USA.
Our rehab in Mumbai offers IOP, which allows clients to build a solid and lasting recovery foundation by providing an intensive treatment experience that allows them to continue living at home and going to work.
The program consists of the following over 8 weeks and is held on three evenings per week at our centre in Churchgate, Mumbai,
provided by our qualified and experienced addiction therapists and includes:
- 24 Process Groups
- 24 Psycho-education and Gorski-CENAPS Relapse Prevention Groups
- 3 Individual Therapy Sessions
- 3 Family Sessions
- 2 Psychiatric Consultations
- One Psychological Assessment - MCMI IV
- Family Education Group - for family members
- Random Alcohol and Drug Testing
- Individual sessions are scheduled as per convenience
Clients who sign up for the program are required to commit to abstinence - a prerequisite of the model, and if unable to maintain this, they will be referred to a higher level of care such as our Residential Program.
The cost of the IOP is 2 Lakh INR
